Whitney and Olivia go to a meeting with Alixe and they are told that DVF is going to have one of them go to London and work with the team in London. Whitney’s response: Oh Wow.

Jay and Adam are at some old movie theatre and Jay tells Adam he’s so excited about going on tour. Adam says he wants to go, and Jay lets him know he hasn’t told Whitney yet. Jay wants to be focused on tour and not worry about Whitney. Adam tells him that he needs to have the chat with Whitney and he has to decide, being single when he leaves or make her wait.

Whitney and Olivia are called up to see DVF. Elle called and is doing a cover shoot for the March issue with Jessica Alba. DVF wants Whitney and Olivia to pull outfits from the Spring line to get some items. DVF wants Olivia to take the lead and Whitney to help.

We start out this week with Erin and Allie chatting. Erin is so excited about the trip to Miami. Allie can’t go because she has a photo shoot with Nylon, and she’s so excited, she’s shooting with a guy. Erin wants to know if Adam gets jealous on the shoots. Allie says that he does, he always asks what she was wearing and how much the guy touched her. Allie says a little flirting isn’t a bad thing. Erin points out that he probably deserves it. Allie says they’ll have a blast since Adam knows people in Miami.

Its Christmas time for the City. Whitney, Olivia and some other DVF workers are at a table for the Christmas party. Olivia brags about knowing all of the editors. Whitney starts to tell a story and Olivia talks over her. DVF wishes them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Olivia asks what Whitney is doing that night and Whitney is going to some party with Jay and Sammy and Erin. Olivia points out its all of her friends. And Whitney says yes, except for her. Olivia tells Whitney not to get too drunk and fall down. Whitney laugh and says she learns something new from Olivia each day.

Whitney and Jay are out together, and Jay is nervous about a gig that he has. Whitney says that she thinks she’ll bring Erin and her friend JR. Jay snarks about her true love with Duncan, but Whitney says that JR was her first love. Whitney invited Olivia, and Jay doesn’t seem pleased. He’s not sure if she’ll come because his scene is ‘not her people’

We start this week with Erin, Whitney, Allie and Sam out eating, and Erin is so proud of everyone for doing good well for themselves. Erin doesn’t really have anything to do, but she wants to. Allie says that Erin should meet her manager, and he can help her out. She wants Erin to send her resume. Whitney says that Kelly Cutrone is coming in town for a birthday party and Whitney invites the girls to the party. They are all excited, but Sam can’t go. Boohoo. Allie is excited for a girls night out. GNO! OMG

We start this week with Allie and Whitney talking about the incident with Adam last week. Whitney says that the boys live a lifestyle that leads them to question their actions. Allie believes Adam but she is thinking about asking the other girl why she made up the story. Whitney says that if Allie believes him then she shouldn’t need to ask.

Jay and Whitney are out and they talk about Adam and Aliie. Allie is Adam’s giflriend and she lives with Jay and Adam. Allie is from Cali too, but Sacramento. Allie and Adam come meet Jay and Whitney at the bar. Allie asks how she likes NY. She says she misses home sometimes, but she likes it especially Jay. Allie is a model, she got a gig with Diesel, she’s not naked, she’ll be wearing ‘things’ She travels a lot and says Whitney and Jay will need to keep an eye on Adam while she’s gone. FORESHADOWING.

Olivia and Whitney are working and Olivia is very proud of her use of socials in place of socialites. DVF herself actually makes an appearance this week. She wants to know if Whitney likes it and if she’s learning anything. Whitney says she is and compliments DVF. Olivia doesn’t seem to happy that Whitney is getting praise.

We start this week at Erin’s, and you can see the AC/DC photo behind her again. There’s a guy playing guitar and Erin asks him to show her a chord. I figured her rock star husband would show her a few. He teaches her a D chord and Whitney comes in. Erin introduces Whitney to her boyfriend Duncan. Erin introduces them as roommates, because he’s staying there. Whitney asks what they are doing later, and they talk about watching The Sound of Music together. Whitney says she’s going to go run errands and grab dinner, she’ll be back, but if they want alone time, just let her know. Erin tells her to just come and go as she pleases.

Whitney lets us know Alex called her out of the blue and had something he wanted to tell her. She goes to meet him, and says she’s still getting settled. She hasn’t found a place to live yet, and has been staying on a couch. Alex says he’s done that before. Alex says he hadn’t seen her since that night, and Whitney kind of apologizes. Alex says that he was hurt at first, but he’s cool now. He asks what happened with Jay and Whitney says they’re still seeing each other. Alex says that his roommates best friend used to date Jay. This girl says that Jay told her he wasn’t seeing Whitney anymore and he was all over her. Whitney wants to know why she should trust him, and she says she has to be careful about who she trusts.

Whitney gives us a brief intro to her friends, and classifies them as the downtown girl, Erin who likes to date boys, Adam a downtown guy who is a model who does what he wants and his girlfriend doesn’t always agree with that. Olivia is an uptown girl, she’s a socialite who wants everyone to know she’s in a higher social class then them. Join me after the jump for the first episode of The City.
