The City – Episode 6: He Never Said He Had a Girlfriend

We start this week with Allie   and Whitney talking about the incident with Adam last week.  Whitney says that the boys live a lifestyle that leads them to question their actions.  Allie believes Adam but she is thinking about asking the other girl why she made up the story.  Whitney says that if Allie believes him then she shouldn’t need to ask.

Olivia comes into work wearing some sort of Cruella De Ville fur lined vest thing, and Whitney says she likes it.  Whitney invites her to this art opening that Adam and Jay were doing.  Olivia thinks that she’ll be free, she’ll send her a text.  Whitney starts to tell Olivia about all of the drama.  Olivia interrupts and says she doesn’t care.  I love it.  She tells Whitney this is high school stuff and to just stay away from it.  Whitney says that she just wanted to talk to someone about this but Olivia doesn’t care.  Why not call LC up Whitney?  Have you already forgotten about your BFF?

Sam and Catarina are out to lunch and Catarina says she’ll have to have like 100 shots of tequilla just to go to the art thing since Adam and Allie will all be there.  Sam says that she went to lunch and met Allie for the first time and that Allie believes him.  Cat says that she had no idea that Adam had a girlfriend.  Well, why would he say that?  Come on.  Sam convinces Cat that she needs to tell Allie what happened, girl to girl.

Jay and Adam are out the liquor store getting supplies for the art opening.  Adam is planning on 5 drinks for 500 people, but Jay says to plan for 2.  Jay asks Adam how things are with Allie and Adam said he smoothed it over.  Jay says the girls are all on this man hating thing right now.  He said they keep saying Adam did something and when Jay asks him if something happen, he doesn’t answer.

Erin and Whitney are getting ready for the party and Erin points out that Sam and Cat and Jay and Adam will all be there and hopes it isn’t an open bar.  Erin says that they need to all stick together as girls and Allie should know.  Whitney says that Jay believes Adam and Erin just laughs.

Off to the gallery and Adam and Jay are actually wearing suits.  Nice touch with the tie bar for Adam.  Jay says he’s going to call Whitney and see where they are, Adam looks a little nervous and asks to find out about Allie.  Whitney, Erin, Allie Olivia and Nevan all show up to the party.  Whitney is wearing some dumb headband, her and Erin talk to the artist and Whitney looks so confused.

Whitney notices that Sam and Cat are there and tells Allie.  Allie says she doesn’t want this right now.  Cat is nervous and doesn’t want to go up to her, but Allie doesn’t want to go up to Cat.  Allie says that Cat has been telling everyone she wanted to talk to Allie, but now Cat won’t talk to her, its like high school again.  They just sort of stand near each other and finally talk.  Cat tells Allie that they kissed and that Adam didn’t tell her he had a girlfriend.  Cat says she feels so bad, but had to tell her since she doesn’t want to kiss boys that have girlfriends.  Allie says that she doesn’t hate her.  Jay and Olivia and Nevan notice them talking and point.  Cat says she can’t be there anymore and she starts crying, so does Allie and she says she can’t be there anymore.  Allie runs off to the bathroom and Whitney goes into console her.  Adam notices Allie isn’t there and asks Jay.  Jay tells him that Allie knows.  Jay knocks on the bathroom door and goes in, and Whitney comes out.  Adam says its bullshit and Allie doesn’t believe him.

Whitney comes out and Cat asks if she’s okay, and Whitney says of course not.  Adam asks if he should go yell at Cat, and Allie says only if Cat is lying.  Allie says she’s had enough and goes outside.  They argue some more and Adam says that he’ll go somewhere and Allie can stay at the apartment.  She gets a cab and Adam tries to give her his coat, but she doesn’t want it.

Next day at Olivia’s, Nevan is still tired from the party, he said it was weird since he only knew 3 people and this was some downtown hipster thing.  Like he should have a fedor.  Olivia says that lovers tiff was so lame.  Nevan says that girls fight and models cheat.

Jay says that he believes Adam and Whitney doesn’t.  She wants to know why this girl would lie.  Adam doesn’t understand why they are getting heated about this.  Whitney says that its Jay’s best friend, and you are the company you keep.  She doesn’t like liars and Jay says he doesn’t either.  Whitney says that she hopes Jay wouldn’t do that to her, Jay says that’s totally different and leaves.

Allie goes to meet Adam at diner, and he tells her she looks cute and he loves her.  He says he wants to apologize.  Adam still says that this girl is lying.  Allie says that she’s supported him through out the gallery and was embarassed.  She says the girl looked her in the eye and looked so upset.  Adam says that he would never lie to Allie, and she’s the only person he needs.  Allie says she knows how much she loves him, and they’re always a team.  She says that she can’t believe the girl or Adam.  Adam just says he loves her and Allie says that she loves him too, they leave together as a cover of “Breaking the Girl” takes us out.
