Assuming last night was the final episode of the fantastic Friday Night Lights, I think it’s only appropriate that we break out the Explosions today. And, please, watch the NBC run of Season 3.
Also, hopefully the music will still work what with the new crackdown on “unauthorized” YouTube videos. If this gets heavily enforced, we’re gonna have some problems here at YMR…

I’ve been rewatching Season 1 on DVD…I remember why I fell in love with this show. I think I could watch the pilot repeatedly and not get sick of it. The think now the music of Explosions in the Sky and the show go hand-in-hand with each other. I don’t have DirectTV so I am eagerly awaiting the premier of Season 3 tomorrow.
I have strong feelings of disdain towards everyone, including Mrs.JB*, who won’t watch this show because they “don’t like football.”

You’re the one with the God Box; are you going to watch even though you’ve seen them all now? We were supposed to betting a box but I guess something fell through with that.
I’m ditching the People Meter in a week or two though since I’m moving. But I did my part for the DTV run at least. And there’s a strong chance I still rewatch most of the NBC run, because this season was a fine one.
For those of us without a God Box, would it be more effective to watch the episodes online once they’re posted? Do you think NBC even considers those numbers?
I think online viewing probably gets some consideration – but I imagine we’ll find ourselves helping out with another “save the show” initiative unless we see some good numbers with the Season 3 Premiere on Friday.
