Well kids, we’ve got a nice slate of releases awaiting us today…
Oh Lily. We all want fuckloads of diamonds. Especially the rest of today’s artists with new releases, which are awaiting you behind curtain number one
Lily Allen – It’s Not Me, It’s You
I’m pretty excited about this one. I mean it. My love for Ms. Allen is well established in these parts. I’ve had a chance to listen to about half of it and while its not as immediately sunny as Alright, Still, it’s still catchy and delightfully smartass.
The Lonely Island – Incredibad
I’m torn on this one. I feel like we’ve heard most of it already via the SNL digital shorts, but that doesn’t mean the songs aren’t funny. I just don’t know that I want to spend ten bucks or so on something that’s offered to me every Saturday night or whenever I plug into Hulu. In my experiences, most of these types of albums don’t hold up very well either. (FotC’s release last year being a bit of an exception)
Dan Auerbach – Keep It Hid
Solo disc from The Black Keys frontman gets bluesy, soulful, rollicking, etc. Enjoy.
Nels Cline – Coward
Whet your appetite for the new Wilco dvd and the new Wilco album by cozying up with this new album of guitar bad-assery from the newest member of Tweedy’s gang.
Miranda Lee Richards – Light of X
Excellent singer-songwriter type album from the former Brian Jonestown Massacre-ette.

Yeah, I’m with you on The Lonely Island. I like a lot of their songs and it’s pretty creative but I kind of just as soon watch the video that goes along with it on Hulu. I’m not sure how much enjoyment I’d actually get just out of the song. That said, Jizz In My Pants is kind of awesome and I kind of love I’m on a Boat.
Didn’t know Nels Cline had an album out today. Good stuff.
