Words are failing to accurately convey how much this entertains me. The sexual innuendo is off the charts here. And yes, this is a real product

So the last few weeks, a force has taken over the internets… and that is “Chocolate Rain” by Tay Zonday

Well surfing youtube, you come up with things like this, which is a remix of Chocolate Rain with a Nelly Furtado song. I can’t lie.. I’ve watched this like 10 times already.

Yeah, I know – you haven’t watched the MTV Movie Awards in years, it’s not relevant.  Me either.  But I did catch yesterday’s “live” airing of the show, and this was definitely the highlight:

Some Scrubs News Friday, March 30, 2007

There was no show this week. Sorry. It’ll be back with the continuation of last week’s show next week. In the meantime, I have some timeslot information for you. Via TV Squad, Scrubs will be making some timeslot changes with 30 Rock in the coming weeks. First up is NBC’s SUPERSIZE NIGHT OF COMEDY, coming April 5. Scrubs will start at 9:15 PM instead of the usual 9:00 PM to make way for The Office’s 40 minute show that week. After that, starting April 12, the show will be moving to 9:30 PM, switching places with 30 Rock until its season finale April 26, at which point Scrubs will then move back to 9:00 PM with back-to-back episodes on May 3. Got it? Good, because someone is going to have to remind me of all this.

Now that you’ve got all the info and since there wasn’t even a repeat on, I’ll give you a Scrubs clip that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy musicals?

Ok, two clips. For my girl MC… (more…)

IOWTMEA is not just a feature, it is an ethos. Over the course of my life so far, I’ve ingested a lot of music. I’ve written extensively about it. I’ve geeked out about it. It’s the epicenter of my life, and it’s done the job of nurse, camp counselor, confidante, lover, child, parent, brother, acquaintance and godknowswhatelseholyshitisitimportanttome. And with that has come a shadowy corner of my collection, a dark, shameful spot full of music that shouldn’t have grabbed me by the collar but did.

Welcome to IOWTMEA: I Own Way Too Many Embarrassing Albums.

In this issue: a movie remake of a Broadway musical brings good performances from some big-time movie stars? The soundtrack? A whole other story.

Get to Know A Musician – Bobby Brown Monday, March 5, 2007

Posted by athleticsupporter in athleticsupporter, Get To Know A Musician, YouTube.

bb2.jpg“Get to Know a Musician” is a weekly feature where we take a look at a musican that has been in the news recently. Up this week, is Bobby Brown, who was arrested at his daughters cheerleading competition* Feb 25th, 2007 for being almost $20,000 behind in child support payments to his ex wife. After a local radio show paid his child support, therefore releasing him from jail, Brown failed to live up to a deal where he would make appearances on the radio show for a period of one week.

Robert “Bobby” Brown was born one chilly February in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Since that fateful day, Bobby has made a name for himself through his singing and most notably, his crazy wife, Whitney Houston.

In recent years, despite a music career that is essentially dead in the water, he maintains his public image through the train wreck of a reality show Being Bobby Brown, and through his continued patronage of the judicial system.

Mugshot goodness after the jump…

Tied to the 90s

Welcome back to “Tied to the 90s“, a not-very complete guide to a decade that was. I’m your host, Yostal, and once more, I’ll be taking you through the pop culture landscape of the 1990s. If you have any suggestions for future columns, please email me at GoinYostal@gmail.com or leave me a comment.

Today, I’ll be looking at 10 Songs from the 1990s that you should probably go download. Now I realize that you may already have these, and that’s great. I realize that some of these choices will be more obvious than others, but if you get a “oh, yeah!” moment out of this, then my work is done. (more…)

5 Cartoon Theme Songs To Boogie To… Wednesday, February 28, 2007

Posted by stopmikelupica in beatbox, Cartoons Rule Everything Around Me, F*ck, this has a lot of links!, SML, Stopmikelupica, YouTube.

Today we present DeadOn’s list of the Top Five Cartoon Theme Songs to Boogie Down To:

5) Darkwing Duck Theme Song.  We had to represent one of the Disney Afternoon cartoons here, and it was a tough call between Darkwing Duck and fan-favorite Duck Tales.  While Duck Tales may have been more popular, Darkwing Duck’s theme song has a bumping bass line, some nifty horn accompaniment, and those smooth, soulful vocals.  And some good call-and-holler going on in the hook: “When there’s trouble you call DW.  (Darkwing Duck) Let’s get dangerous. (Darkwing Duck)”

Kiefer Sutherland is a man of many talents. He has played roles as diverse as Jack Bauer and as one of the Three Musketeers. Outside of acting, Kiefer apparently enjoys drinking.

This is a clip from a documentary called I Trust You to Kill Me. Kiefer was on Conan a couple of weeks ago and he was talking about all the crazy stuff he does drunk including this and destroying the prototype Jack Bauer action figure by setting it on fire in the parking lot of a bar.

Reasons why sea otters are awesome: they’re cute, cuddly, they make squishy sounds with their cheeks, speak Spanish, eat on their tummies, have built in pockets, and because of this commercial.

This is from a series of commercials for Frontier Airlines. The winner of America’s favorite animal will be announced during the Oscars.

So, I promised myself not to post, again, ’til I have something top-notch to contribute. (That way, you’d be spared my nattering.) As it turns out, though, I noticed no Sunday update — due this being the day of rest for the Christians (of whom I would imagine most DeadOn-ers are?), possibly. So, an update.

 I apologize in advance.
