Nothing. That’s what you’re gonna get this week. NOTHING. This is aided by the fact that I’m fighting off the plague, but really, what are you buying this week besides maybe Bonnie Prince Billy?

Enjoy the slow week. Your dark lords are coming for you next week.

This sucks. Rumor was that today would be the release of the new Our Lady Peace single and video – allegedly, “The Right Stuff”, but Raine said last week at a concert during Canadian Music Week that neither is true, and the first single would be “All You Did (Was Save My Life)”.

Are you telling me I can no longer trust Wikipedia???

The most interesting new release I saw was a new Willie Nelson album called “Naked Willie”, where he has stripped back some tracks he wrote from the 60s to the intended sound.

Be careful googling that title, though.

I will most definitely be getting Bonnie “Prince” Billy and it’s likely I will enjoy it very much.

Wavvves (San Diego wooo wooo) comes out on CD this week but it was already available digitally. If you don’t have it yet, it is very much worth checking out. This one’s destined to show up on best of ’09 lists at the end of the year.

MSTRKRFT has a new album out. Not really my thing but it will be quite a few peoples’ and it will probably be pretty good. I might give it a spin.

P4K finally got around to reviewing Laura Gibson this week (it came out in February) and gave her a solid review. If you haven’t listened to Beasts of Seasons yet I suggest that one as well.
