Well kids, we’ve got a bit of a clunker of a week staring us down…
So, you can get your rawk on at the Walmarts, but what else doth the day hold?
AC/DC – Black Ice
Much like the Eagles last year, the hard rock vets have opted to make their new album available only at Wal-Mart. Not that I was going to pick it up anyway, but that pretty much assures me of never owning this album ever. TRUE OR FALSE: approximately 174% of the songs on this album have the word “rock” in the title.
High School Musical 3 – Soundtrack
This is probably the big charter of the week (depending on AC/DC, I suppose) and the pre-release singles from the tween friendly fare haven’t been doing the digital sales that HSM2 did. Clearly the kids have been distracted by the JoBros and the Cyrusi of the world to have paid much early attention to Efron, Hudgens, et al. Here’s thinking that the release of the movie on Friday and the availability of all songs will improve the early sales numbers.
Hank Williams III – Damn Right, Rebel Proud
More like grandpappy than pappy, and more like The Clash than like Nashville, I don’t think you’ll be seeing Hank 3 changing any lyrics to fit Sarah Palin in anytime soon.
Electric Six – Flashy
Ok, so here you go. Featuring “Gay Bar Part 2” and “Formula 409”. Not generally enjoying Electric Six means not generally enjoying life.
So, that pretty much takes care of this disappointing week. Unless you are Peyton Manning or a Kiss completist. Or both perhaps. Lets talk in the comments.
