It’s still Grammy Week, and it’s now OutKast Day.

“Forever never seems that long until you’re grown.”

“Ms. Jackson” is a classic, and we’ll revisit it at some point. (Update: Like now.)

Aside from Big Boi looking like an Irish pimp and Andre 3000 transcending Technicolor, this is maybe the first really good non-Eminem Grammys performance for hip-hop, and the song, a domestic drama that resonates to this day.

Some bonus from Dre and Big: “Hey Ya” at the Grammys in 2005.

Tomorrow’s Valentine’s. There may or may not be special stuff for that; I apologize for the scarcity of words on the Avenue this week, but between a spate of midterms and the beginning of the golf season, which I cover, I’ve had a difficult time churning out these posts.

That will change after Friday, I hope.

2 days in a row of Outkast?

“There’s so much fuss about Santa Claus, but see Cupid will not be defeated.”

Wait, what? Yesterday was some Kanye and Morris Day and the Time.

Tomorrow will be better than the low-hanging fruit of “Roses,” I promise.
