Real World Recap – The Prodigal Son Returns. Friday, December 7, 2007Posted by The NY Kid in Fuck You Nibbles, MTV, reality TV, undergroundBTO.
This episode opens with Isaac returning to the house after his grandfather’s funeral. He has responded to this time of family crisis by saying “I just want to come back and let it all hang out. I just want to party.” Follow me after the jump to see exactly how he goes about accomplishing his goals.
As soon as Isaac is back in the house, everyone rushes to give him their own version of exactly what happened between Trisha and Parissa. Since Isaac is smarter than the average bear, he decides to ask Parissa directly about what happened. Since Isaac is Isaac, he goes in to her bedroom to wake her up with an air horn in order to talk to her. After getting the story from Parissa, Isaac goes back out in the kitchen where he encounters KellyAnne. He talks to her for about 2.2 seconds about his grandfather’s funeral before he starts asking more questions about the Trisha/Parrisa smackdown. Isaac stuns KellyAnne by announcing that no one really liked Trisha anyway, and that he certainly didn’t like her. Parissa overhears him, and she informs Isaac that everyone hates her now.
A little later in the day, we see Ashli on the phone talking to one of her friends back home. She is talking about how frustrated she is regarding her “situation” with Dunbar, and she tells her friend that she and Dunbar “just spoon”. Stay tuned for more on this issue.
At the same time, Isaac is talking to Parissa about why the girls hate her, and he reiterates that no one (especially the guys) liked Trisha. Parissa responds with “today is the first day in a while that I feel like myself”.
That night we see Isaac talking to Dunbar about the rest of the goings-on in the house, and Dunbar informs him that Ashli is now his team leader. Isaac informs Ashli that Trisha “really sucked”, and that he would have sent her home if he had the power. To continue the whole Trisha/Parissa fight theme, we also see the girls getting ready to go out, and KellyAnne says that she plans on ignoring Parissa. This is immediately followed by KellyAnne asking Parissa about clothes, which confuses Parissa. We also see Dunbar and Ashli in the kitchen talking about their flirtation, and he responds by continually stating that he loves Julie (sounds real convincing, buddy).
Dunbar and Isaac go out for a walk, and Dunbar says “you’re lucky that you got to go home”. Yes, Dunbar, Isaac is so very lucky that his grandfather died so that he could go home. Douchebag. At the same time, Ashli and KellyAnne are out at dinner talking about (what else?) Trisha and Parissa. Ashli says that she understands Parissa a little more now, and KellyAnne admits that she doesn’t “want to be a bad person”. Ashli wisely notes that maybe they should “give Parissa a chance”.
After everyone is back at the house, and sleeping, Isaac gets naked and decides to wake everyone up. He then proceeds to put on some snorkel gear and get into the large fish tank in the house. He is apparently not concerned about the large goldfish nibbling on his man-parts. With the party properly started, Isaac tells everyone that they are doing shots for Dunbar’s birthday (it’s not actually Dunbar’s birthday, though – crazy kids!). After getting good and drunk, everyone gets into the hot tub, where KellyAnne and Parissa start to talk about Trisha (yet again). KellyAnne gets all weepy, but Parissa says that it will take more than a simple “sorry”. Dunbar and Ashli are also talking, and they wind up getting out of the hot tub and into bed. And…BOOM BITCH!, they have sex (gee, no one saw THAT coming).
The next morning, Ashli is chatting on-line with her friend and she tells her that she and Dunbar had sex. At the same time, Dunbar calls Julie and tells her “you might hate me”. However, when she asks him what he did, he tells her “I’ll tell you later”. Good plan! She’ll never be suspicious after that. We also see KellyAnne and Parissa talking, and KellyAnne apologizes once more, which Parissa appears to finally accept. After that, Parissa goes on a walk with Isaac, where he tells her about his grandfather. To lighten the mood, he tells her to run through a fountain, which she does. After she is good and wet, she gets out and gives Isaac a big hug to end the episode with a nice “awwww” moment.
