Happy Tuesday everybody. Sorry I missed you last week, but I figure you knew what to pick up, right? I see that copy of Magic over there. (and I see that copy of Exile on Mainstream…but I won’t tell…) Let’s get back to it with this week’s new releases

Band of Horses – The Funeral

The Will Leitch approved Band of Horses have a new one this week…and so do…

Band of Horses – Cease to Begin
Everything All The Time (from which today’s YMR came ) was a fantastic album and even Pitchfork loved it (and they hate everything except for that experimental noise band that two guys down the start started last week – but once they get big, the Fork will disown them…). Initial reviews are positive here, even though BoH has already gone through a line-up change one album into their career. They also have a song called “Detlef Schrempf” and that probably pleases the mid 90s Sportscenter crew to no end.

Kid Rock – Rock and Roll Jesus
Joe C would have never stood for this bullshit.

Puddle of Mudd – Famous
What the fuck??! Is this 1999 or something? Is butt rock big again?

Alter Bridge – Blackbird
It is the motherfucking apocalypse. Run for the nearest shelter.

Josh Groban – Noel
…….

Jennifer Lopez – Brave
/Jerkwheat has been killed in an avalanche of turd sandwiches disguised as new album releases.

New Music Tuesday will see you again next Tuesday when there will hopefully be not so much shit coming out all at once. Discuss in the comments as always.

New Sunset Rubdown today too. It’ll be awesome/Canadian.

Dude you missed the big one:
Radiohead In Rainbows
On sale tomorrow from their website. Pay whatever the fuck you want to download it or get the special package for like $80. Why tomorrow, why their website, and why a variable cost? Because they gave a big F-U to the record companies and decided to distribute it themselves.

I’ve got nuthin’. Even in the lands of jazz, blues and re-issues.

I purposefully left off Radiohead on this list. It’ll get it’s own post this week most likely. It’s a neat concept they are going for and I’ll get around to paying something for it this week.

Vanessa Carlton – Heros & Theives.

yeah, I know. But I like it.

Matt, I nearly mentioned that one as the missus is a big fan and her last album grew on me. It’s getting purchased by our household today. I admit it.
