I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge yesterday’s terrible news regarding the one and only Mr. Patrick Swayze. Mr. Swayze, sir, you have provided me with a lot of excellent snark material over the course of my life (see Road House, Point Break, etc etc). Red Dawn remains the shit to this day. You gave us a never dying pop culture catchphrase by refusing to allow Baby to be put into a corner. You were in one of the greatest SNL skits ever – you know which one with out me saying it, but it’s obviously the Chippendales skit with Chris Farley (damn you NBC for cracking down on the YouTubes…). Apparently, you were also truly one of the good guys in the business and it’s an absolute shame to learn that you have been afflicted with such a terrible, terrible disease. Here is to your comfort in the coming weeks and the least that we can do is to dedicate today’s YMR to you.
