Paramore, a Tennessee emo-rock foursome signed to the same label as Fall Out Boy (Fueled by Ramen, a great label name), was nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy this year, losing, of course, to the Amy Winehouse Rehab Revival Tour. Still, they’re just indie enough (limited MTV appearances so far, though I guarantee in a year that will no longer be the case) and just talented enough (damn, Hayley Williams can sing, and damn, are this song and most of the rest of the ouevre catchy) and just young enough (Williams is 18, and the band can’t drink) to be a pretty cool pick for my first day on the Rock.
